Staying Safe and Healthy: School Break Update and Vaccination Drive

With the recent rise in COVID-19 cases, the school board has made the difficult but important decision to implement a short school break. We understand this may disrupt schedules, but our top priority remains the health and safety of our students, staff, and families.

Making the Most of the Break:

While school buildings are closed, this break can be an opportunity to:

  • Prioritize health: Encourage students to get plenty of rest, eat healthy foods, and stay hydrated. These simple steps can strengthen the immune system.
  • Catch up on missed work: If needed, students can use this time to complete any outstanding assignments or projects.
  • Connect with family: Enjoy quality time with loved ones through games, hobbies, or outdoor activities while practicing social distancing.

Vaccination Drive – A Step Towards Safe Return:

We understand the importance of returning to in-person learning as soon as possible. To facilitate a safe return, we’re excited to announce a school-wide vaccination drive.

Who can get vaccinated?

This drive is open to all students who are eligible for vaccination based on current health guidelines (please refer to the CDC website for latest information on age eligibility: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html ). Parents, staff, and school community members are also welcome!

What to expect at the drive:

  • The vaccination process will be quick and efficient.
  • Medical personnel will be available to answer any questions and address any concerns.
  • We will be following all recommended safety protocols, including social distancing and mask-wearing.

Working Together for a Safe Future:

By getting vaccinated and following CDC guidelines like social distancing and mask-wearing when necessary, we can create a safer learning environment for everyone. We encourage all eligible individuals to take advantage of this convenient vaccination opportunity.

Stay Updated:

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates regarding the school reopening date and any additional safety measures implemented. Please keep an eye on our school website and official communication channels for the latest information.

In the meantime, stay safe and healthy!
